Hong Kong Tramways.
In reply to your letters of the 24th and 26th instant, re the cross sections deposited by you on behalf of The Hong Kong Tramway Electric Co. Ltd., in accordance with Section 13 of Ordinance No. 10 of 1902, and, bearing the reference number 72326 and date, 4th April, 1902, I now beg to inform you that I approve of the same, subject to the following modifications as stated below.
(1). The groove in the rails to be reduced to one inch in width.
(2). The concrete bed for the rails to be as shown by red lines and its composition and thickness to be stated in red figures and lettering.
(3). The camber shown for the surface of the road to be modified where necessary to suit the existing surface of the roads along which the Tramway is to be constructed.
